Conference Planning Meeting Sunday 05/4/25
The following people attended the Conference Interest Meeting on Sunday, May 4th. Bob R, Becky Z, Micah L, Glen H, Crystal G, Martin J, Danielle H, Brendon W, Robin C, Rose F, Chris C, Anna W Started with a general definition of an SLAA Conference: An SLAA (Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous) conference is a gathering of SLAA members, often organized by an intergroup, to provide support, education, and fellowship in recovery. It’s a space for sharing experiences, strengths, and hopes, and for learning about the SLAA program and its tools. Timeline: Discussed the following dates and pros and cons of each: Month of October or February.October may be too soon for people to make their plans to attend it due to other commitments. February seems kind of far away. Some expressed their interest in either month. Glen said that if we were to decide on February, we would be beginning very early. Normal time planning an event like this would be 3 months max, so we would have plenty of time. Glen volunteered to make a phone text chat for the members to discuss things. (He later decided to make a web page because the notifications on a group texts would be annoying, ding.ding.ding. We did not set a date for our next meeting. ILS, Glen H
