Recovery Focused – A recovery-focused S.L.A.A. (Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous) conference is a gathering designed specifically to help individuals struggling with compulsive sexual and emotional behavior to achieve and maintain sobriety. These events focus on sharing experience, strength, and hope through the lens of the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions to foster recovery from addiction.
Anonymity – It means protecting members’ identities, stories, and confidential meeting discussions, as it is the “spiritual foundation” of the program. Members use first names only, share deeply without fear of judgment, and keep what is said in meetings private to foster a safe environment for recovery.
Workshops and Panels – Specialized, educational, and recovery-focused sessions presented by SLAA members are designed to help members strengthen their recovery, learn about the 12-Steps, and connect with the fellowship. These events typically provide deeper, more structured learning than a standard daily meeting.
Speakers – People selected to speak on SLAA topics or themes as designated by the Conference Committee.
Fellowship and Networking – Fellowship during an S.L.A.A. (Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous) Conference, such as the Annual Business Conference (ABC) or special summits, focuses on unity, service, and recovery through in-person connection. It typically involves shared meals, speaker meetings, workshops, and networking opportunities that foster connection among attendees.
